జపాకుసుమ సంకాశం కాశ్యపేయం మహాద్యుతిమ్ ।తమోఘ్నం సర్వపాపఘ్నం ప్రణతోఽస్మి దివాకరమ్ ॥
Japākusuma saṅkāśaṁ kāśyapeyaṁ mahādyutim | Tamo-ghnaṁ sarva-pāpaghnaṁ praṇato'smi divākaram ||
MEANING
I bow to the Sun god, radiant like the red hibiscus flower, son of sage Kashyapa, of great brilliance, the dispeller of darkness and the remover of all sins.
ఎర్ర కమలం వంటి వర్ణం కలిగినవాడు, కశ్యపుని పుత్రుడు, మహా తేజస్వి, చీకటిని పోగొట్టేవాడు, సమస్త పాపాలను హరించేవాడు అయిన సూర్య భగవానుడికి నమస్కారం.
