ప్రియంగుకలికా శ్యామం రూపేణాప్రతిమం బుధమ్ ।సౌమ్యం సౌమ్యగుణోపేతం తం బుధం ప్రణమామ్యహమ్ ॥
Priyaṅgu-kalikā śyāmaṁ rūpeṇāpratimaṁ budham | Saumyaṁ saumya-guṇopetaṁ taṁ budhaṁ praṇamāmy aham ||
MEANING
I bow to Budha, dark-complexioned like the priyangu bud, of matchless beauty, gentle by nature and endowed with gentle virtues.
ప్రియంగు మొగ్గ వంటి నల్లని వర్ణం కలిగినవాడు, సాటిలేని అందం కలవాడు, శాంత స్వభావుడు, మంచి గుణాలు కలవాడు అయిన బుధ గ్రహానికి నమస్కారం.
